One-time Holiday – National Day of Mourning (FED)

The Federal government will mark the death of Queen Elizabeth with a one-time holiday, also called the National Day of Mourning, for federal government employees on September 19, 2022. This holiday is not automatically applied to those working in federally-regulated industries (i.e., banks, airlines, post offices, and Crown corporations).

Employees of the House of Commons, the Senate, and the Library of Parliament are included.
