On May 24, 2022, WorkSafeBC's Board of Directors approved the following amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation:
- Part 3, Reassignment of refused work: the employer must ensure a subsequent worker is advised in writing of any unresolved work refusal made in relation to the assigned work.
- Parts 1, 16, and 28, Housekeeping amendments of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation: The amendments aim to replace references to the Engineers and Geoscientists Act and Foresters Act with the Professional Governance Act).
The amendments will come into effect on August 22, 2022.
