Rural and Remote Recruitment Incentive – Saskatchewan

On April 13, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is investing in workforce capacity through a one-time Rural and Remote Recruitment Incentive of up to $50,000, designed to attract and retain health care professionals in high-priority roles across rural and remote Saskatchewan communities.

The Ministry of Health will pay the incentive to Saskatchewan Health Authority or Saskatchewan Cancer Agency employees if the program's conditions are met.

The Ministry of Health will:

  • Review the eligibility requirements
  • Pay the incentive to approved applicants
  • Report the taxable incentive on the T4A slip
