Effective October 1, 2026, the Ontario minimum wage will increase from $17.60 to $17.95 per hour.
Employers with employees who are covered under the Ontario Employment Standards must:
- Comply with the minimum wage standards;
- Update their wage policies, accordingly, including collective agreements to ensure compliance and fair compensation to all employees; and
- Analyze the impact on the organization’s budget and advise accordingly.
