Effective April 1, 2026, the federal minimum wage will increase from $17.75 to $18.15 per hour.
Employers with employees who are covered under the Canada Labour Code must:
- Comply with the minimum wage standards;
- Update their wage policies accordingly, including revising collective agreements to ensure compliance and fair compensation to all employees; and
- Analyze the impact on the organization’s budget and advise accordingly.
