Pay Transparency Act Introduced – NB

On March 18, 2026, the government of New Brunswick introduced the Pay Transparency Act that would require employers to: 

 

  • Disclose salary ranges in job postings; 
  • Prevent them from relying on a candidate’s previous pay when setting compensation;  
  • Protect employees who talk openly about their wages; and  
  • Address systemic pay gaps that affect certain categories of employees.
