Bill 30, Working for Workers Seven Act, 2025, in Ontario was introduced on May 28, 2025, requiring amendments to the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000, and the WorkplaceSAFETY AND INSURANCE ACT, 1997.
On November 27, 2025, the Bill received Royal Assent and came into effect.
The new requirements include:
- Job seeking leave
- Extended layoffs
- Increased penalties
