Changes to the EFILE Authorization Service for Individuals

Effective July 15, 2025, the Authorize a Representative service in EFILE software will no longer be available for individual clients. 

 

Going forward, all representatives must use Represent a Client to obtain authorization for individuals. 

 

Note: This change does not affect business clients - EFILE authorization remains available for them. 

 

If you or your client needs to register, visit Register for a CRA account 

 

To gain immediate access, use the CRA’s document verification service to verify your identity online—no need to wait for a security code by mail.
