On January 17, 2023, CNESST made changes to the Employer's Declaration of Pay Equity known as Déclaration de l’employeur en matière d’équité salariale (DEMES). The changes are as follows:
- The Reporting Person Information page in the DEMES has been enhanced to ensure that the email address and/or mailing address on file is functional and up-to-date
- Access to all reports filed by the employer on the form available under Report History section.
In addition, CNESST reworked the communication sent to employers to inform them of their obligations by including a summary table of the various pay equity obligations (DEMES, initial exercise, and maintenance).
